Power card supply out of range

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive High Power

¿Qué significa 46 ?

One or more of the internal power supplies (24V, 5V, ±18V) generated by the switch-mode power supply (SMPS) on the power card are operating outside their acceptable voltage range. This indicates an issue with the power card's internal power regulation, which can affect the functionality of other components and lead to instability or failure.

Causas comunes

  • Internal switch-mode power supply (SMPS) failure on the frequency converter's power card.
  • Overload on one of the internal auxiliary power supplies (e.g., 24VDC output supplying control circuitry).
  • Component failure (e.g., capacitors, regulators) on the power card affecting voltage regulation.
  • Input voltage instability or transients affecting the SMPS operation.
  • Short circuit on an internal auxiliary voltage rail (e.g., 24VDC, 5VDC) causing the supply to drop or become unstable.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Disconnect main power supply to the frequency converter at the upstream breaker. Verify zero voltage.

  2. 2

Visually inspect the power card for any signs of burnt components, bulging capacitors, or discoloration.

  3. 3

If accessible, measure the individual output voltages (e.g., +24V, +5V, +18V, -18V) generated by the SMPS on the power card (use caution with live circuits).

  4. 4

Temporarily disconnect non-essential loads or communication modules from the internal 24VDC supply if possible to check for an overload condition.

  5. 5

Verify the incoming auxiliary power supply (e.g., control supply) to the frequency converter is stable and within its specified range.

  6. 6

If multiple internal supplies are out of range and no external overload is found, the power card likely requires service or replacement.
