Torque limit
Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive High Power
¿Qué significa ALARM 12 ?
The motor's torque has exceeded the value set in parameter 4-16 Torque Limit Motor Mode or the generator torque limit in parameter 4-17 Torque Limit Generator Mode. This condition can be a warning or escalate to an alarm and trip, protecting the mechanical system from excessive stress.
Causas comunes
- Mechanical obstruction or jamming in the driven machinery, causing the motor to demand excessive torque.
- Process material buildup or blockage, increasing the load on the motor.
- Torque limit settings (P4-16, P4-17) are set too low for the application's actual torque requirements.
- Ramp times (acceleration P3-41, deceleration P3-42) are set too short, causing high transient torque demands.
- Incorrect motor data parameters, leading to inaccurate torque calculation by the frequency converter.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Monitor the motor torque (parameter 16-15 Motor Torque) on the frequency converter display during operation.
- 2
Inspect the mechanical system for any obstructions, jamming, or excessive friction that would increase load.
- 3
Increase the torque limit values in P4-16 (Torque Limit Motor Mode) and P4-17 (Torque Limit Generator Mode) gradually, if the mechanical system allows.
- 4
Increase acceleration ramp time (P3-41 for ramp 1) to reduce peak torque during startup.
- 5
Verify motor nameplate data (kW, V, A, Hz, RPM) against the frequency converter's motor setup parameters (P1-03 to P1-07).
- 6
Check for proper mechanical alignment of shafts, couplings, and bearings.
