A05002

Power unit: Air intake overtemperature

Siemens · DCM

¿Qué significa A05002 ?

For chassis power units, the alarm threshold for the air intake overtemperature has been reached, typically set at 42 °C with a 2 K hysteresis for air-cooled units. This indicates that the incoming air for cooling is too hot. If the air intake temperature increases by an additional 13 K, it will output fault F30035, risking critical overheating of the power unit.

Causas comunes

  • High ambient temperature within the electrical enclosure or room where the chassis power unit is installed, exceeding 42°C.
  • Inadequate ventilation or cooling system in the electrical enclosure, such as blocked air filters or failed cabinet cooling fans.
  • Hot air recirculation within the enclosure, where exhaust air from other equipment is drawn back into the drive's air intake.
  • Incorrectly configured air intake temperature threshold parameter (e.g., P0604) set too low for the operating environment.
  • Faulty air intake temperature sensor providing an inaccurate reading (e.g., an Ni1000/PT1000 sensor used for ambient monitoring).

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the air temperature directly at the air intake vents of the power unit using an external thermometer.

  2. 2

Verify the electrical enclosure's cooling fans (if present) are operational and air filters are clean and unobstructed.

  3. 3

Ensure proper separation of hot and cold air paths within the enclosure to prevent hot air recirculation.

  4. 4

Check the enclosure door seals and ensure proper sealing to prevent hot air ingress from external sources.

  5. 5

Review the parameter for air intake overtemperature threshold (e.g., P0604) and adjust if necessary, but only within safe operating limits of the drive.
