Power unit: Internal overtemperature
Siemens · DCM
¿Qué significa A30034 ?
This alarm indicates that the internal temperature within the power unit has reached its alarm threshold. If the temperature continues to rise, it could lead to fault F30036. Common causes include high ambient temperature or insufficient cooling due to fan failure. Unresolved, it risks power unit damage or shutdown.
Causas comunes
- Reduced cooling fan efficiency within the power unit (e.g., dust accumulation, worn bearings).
- Obstructed air circulation path inside the drive cabinet due to misplaced components or blocked ventilation grilles.
- Ambient temperature inside the control cabinet consistently exceeding the drive's specified operating limit (e.g., 40°C).
- Continuous operation with high output current near or above the drive's rated capacity.
- Contamination of internal heat sinks with conductive dust or oil mist, reducing thermal dissipation.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Measure the temperature inside the drive cabinet at various points (e.g., top, middle, bottom) using an infrared thermometer.
- 2
Verify the operation of all internal cooling fans by visual inspection or current measurement (e.g., across fan power terminals).
- 3
Inspect and clean all air intake and exhaust vents on the drive and cabinet, removing any dust or obstructions with compressed air (low pressure).
- 4
Check drive parameters P1-03 (Max output current) and P1-04 (Motor rated current) for correct values matching the motor nameplate.
- 5
Monitor the actual motor current (e.g., Parameter P2-01) under load and compare it to the drive's continuous current rating.
