Option Board External Fault
Yaskawa · F7 Drive
¿Qué significa EF0 ?
An external fault condition has been detected by an installed option board. This indicates a problem originating from equipment connected to or monitored by the option board, rather than an internal Drive issue. If ignored, the external issue could damage the connected equipment or compromise system safety.
Causas comunes
- Fault condition detected by an external device connected to the option board (e.g., PLC, safety relay, temperature sensor).
- Wiring error or open circuit in the input signal path from the external device to the option board's input terminal.
- Incorrect configuration of the option board parameters (e.g., input type, fault polarity) related to the external fault detection.
- Power supply issue (e.g., 24VDC) for the external device or the input circuit of the option board itself.
- Noise ingress on the input signal line causing a false fault trigger at the option board's input.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Identify the specific option board installed (e.g., communication card, I/O expansion card) and its connected external devices.
- 2
Using a multimeter, verify the voltage (e.g., 24VDC) or continuity on the specific input terminal of the option board that triggers EF0.
- 3
Examine the parameters of the option board (e.g., 'P5-xx' for I/O card inputs) to ensure external fault detection is configured correctly.
- 4
Check the wiring integrity between the external device and the option board for breaks, loose connections, or incorrect terminal assignment.
- 5
Temporarily disable the external fault input function in the option board's parameters (if safe to do so) to isolate the fault source.
