Alarm of Power Supply (ECM)
Fanuc · Macro B CNC Programming
What does C mean?
A general alarm condition has occurred within the power supply unit of the Energy Charge Module (ECM). This indicates a problem with the main power input to the ECM or its internal power conversion circuitry.
Repair Steps
- 1
Immediately stop the machine using the emergency stop button and open the external Main Circuit Contactor (MCC) of the Power supply.
- 2
Check the incoming main power supply voltage and frequency to the αi PS or power supply module; ensure it is within the specified range (e.g., 200-240 VAC for 200V series, 400-480 VAC for 400V series).
- 3
Inspect the circuit breakers and magnetic contactors connected to the power supply for tripping or damage (Section 3.1.3.10, page 95).
- 4
Verify that the power supply wiring (Cable K1, Section 9.3.1.1, page 213) is securely connected and has the correct cross-sectional area.
- 5
If an external power transformer is used, check its input and output voltages for correctness and stability (Section 3.1.3.7, page 89).
