Sensor One-Rotation Signal Undetected
Fanuc · Macro B CNC Programming
What does SP0141 mean?
The spindle system failed to establish an absolute position within 5 turns after communication between the spindle amplifier and sensor started. This prevents the system from finding the spindle's home position, which is crucial for normal operation.
Repair Steps
- 1
Ensure the spindle motor can rotate for at least one full turn at a constant speed (recommended 30 min-1, page 415) to allow the sensor to detect the one-rotation signal for interpolation error learning.
- 2
Verify the spindle sensor cable (e.g., K97, page 297, or K16, page 295) is securely connected and free from damage, as it transmits the one-rotation signal.
- 3
Check the parameters related to spindle orientation and sensor settings, ensuring they are correctly configured for absolute position detection.
- 4
Perform the interpolation error learning procedure (Section 11.2.3.9, page 415), rotating the sensor within specified speed ranges (e.g., 25-105 min-1 for 512I,IS) for one or more turns.
- 5
Inspect the sensor head and sensor ring for any magnetic powder or chips, which can interfere with signal detection (page 416), and remove them using air blowing.
- 6
If the issue persists, the spindle sensor or sensor circuit may need replacement.
