PS0090

REFERENCE RETURN INCOMPLETE

Fanuc · Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B Parameter

What does PS0090 mean?

This alarm occurs during a reference position return if the servo error amount exceeds the value set in parameter 1836. This critical condition is monitored before the machine clears the deceleration limit switch, which is associated with the Reference position return deceleration signal *DEC <Gn196>. Parameter 1836 defines the maximum allowable servo error for a successful reference position return.

Repair Steps

  1. 1

Check parameter 1836 (Servo error amount where reference position return is possible) — verify it is set appropriately for the axis (default is 128 if 0 is set).

  2. 2

Inspect the reference position return deceleration signal *DEC <Gn196> at its assigned input address — confirm its proper detection and release during the reference return sequence.

  3. 3

Monitor the servo error amount using diagnostic displays during the reference position return — ensure it does not exceed the value set in parameter 1836 before the deceleration limit switch is cleared.
