Inverter DC Link Undervoltage
Fanuc · Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B Plus
What does 5 mean?
This alarm indicates an undervoltage condition in the DC link of the Inverter (Servo Amplifier). This can stem from loose DC link connections or issues with the control printed-circuit board's seating. If multiple modules are affected, the Power Supply may be the root cause.
Common Causes
- Loose screws for the DC link connection cable (bar).
- DC link low voltage condition occurring in more than one module (potentially Power Supply related).
- Faceplate (control printed-circuit board) of the Servo Amplifier not fully seated.
Repair Steps
- 1
Check that the screws for the DC link connection cable (bar) are tight.
- 2
If the alarm occurs in only one Servo Amplifier, ensure the faceplate (control printed-circuit board) of that Servo Amplifier is pushed in as far as it will go.
- 3
Replace the Servo Amplifier in which this alarm has occurred.
