No LED Display on Power Supply
Fanuc · Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B Plus
What does No LED Display mean?
This condition occurs when the 200-V control power (CX1A) is not supplied to the α i PS or α i PSR unit, or when the 24-VDC power output is short-circuited. This prevents the Power Supply from operating and indicating status.
Common Causes
- The circuit breaker for the 200-V control power supply is off.
- A lightning surge absorber connected immediately after the circuit breaker is short-circuited.
- The 24-V power to a Servo Amplifier or Spindle Amplifier is short-circuited.
- External 24-V power is incorrectly connected to pin 3 of connector CX4.
Repair Steps
- 1
Check whether the circuit breaker for the control power supply is off.
- 2
If a lightning surge absorber is connected immediately following the circuit breaker, check whether the lightning surge absorber is short-circuited. Replace it if short-circuited.
- 3
Disconnect the cable from connector CX1A and turn the control power on. If '-' is displayed, detect the amplifier which causes the 24-V power to be short-circuited by sequentially connecting the cable from the Power Supply and replace it.
- 4
Disconnect the cable from connector CX4 and turn the control power on. If '-' is displayed, correct the connection of the external 24-V power to pin 3 of CX4.
