Blinking

Inverter: abnormal control power supply

Fanuc · Series 30i CNC

What does Blinking mean?

An abnormality is detected in the inverter's control power supply. This can stem from a failure in the JF* connector or cable, or issues with the motor itself or the SVM. This fault prevents stable operation of the inverter.

Common Causes

  • Connector or cable (JF*) failure.
  • Motor failure.
  • SVM failure.

Repair Steps

  1. 1

Inspect the JF* connector for secure connection and damage.

  2. 2

Check the JF* cable for continuity and shorts.

  3. 3

Measure the control power supply voltage to the inverter.

  4. 4

Verify motor winding resistance values against specifications.
