457

Grid relay is sticking or neutral conductor ground voltage too high

Fronius · Solar Energy

What does 457 mean?

The inverter is unable to feed energy into the grid due to either a sticking grid relay or an excessively high neutral conductor ground voltage. The neutral conductor ground voltage must be less than 30V for safe operation.

Common Causes

  • Malfunctioning (sticking) grid relay
  • Neutral conductor ground voltage exceeding 30V

Repair Steps & Checklist

  1. 1

Check the grounding connection of the system

  2. 2

Measure the neutral conductor ground voltage and verify it is less than 30V
