105

AC frequency too high

Fronius · Symo Advanced Manual

What does 105 mean?

The grid frequency is above the permissible range, and the inverter cannot feed energy into the grid due to compliance standards. This indicates a grid condition, not an inverter fault.

Common Causes

  • Public grid frequency instability, exceeding upper limits

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure AC grid frequency at the inverter's main input terminals using a calibrated power quality meter to independently verify grid conditions.

  2. 2

Verify the inverter's configured grid code and frequency monitoring parameters (e.g., Fmax, F_Stop, trip thresholds) in the system settings, ensuring they comply with local utility requirements.

  3. 3

Inspect all AC input wiring and connections to the inverter for proper termination, torque, and absence of damage or corrosion, ensuring reliable measurement and operation.

  4. 4

Monitor the AC grid frequency over an extended period and observe if other grid-tied devices or sensitive equipment in the area are experiencing similar frequency-related disturbances.
