Speed difference

Kone · CMXC-022 Frequency Control Upgrade Kit

What does 62 mean?

A significant speed difference has been detected between expected and actual motor speed, or between different speed feedback channels, by the R&M Materials Handling Frequency Converter. This can be caused by mechanical failures, issues with load measurement, or problems with encoder signals (ENC1A, ENC2A-B) including incorrect wiring.

Common Causes

  • Speed difference detected
  • Load measured too low when using ESR (Energy Saving Regulation)
  • Mechanical failure, e.g., in the gear system
  • Interference or missing signal in ENC1A
  • Sensor channels ENC2A-B connected incorrectly
  • Interference or missing signal in ENC2A-B

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    Check the supply voltage

  2. 2

Verify the load measurement operation and calibration

  3. 3

Check hoist operation without any load applied

  4. 4

Check the sensor cable grounding and inverter PE- connections

  5. 5

Check or replace the speed sensor connected to ENC1A

  6. 6

Swap the connections between ENC2A and ENC2B
