CANBUS Failure
Kone · Frequency Inverter
What does 08 mean?
This error indicates interference or a complete break in the CANBUS communication link. The error is recorded if communication with the car control PCB SM-02 fails incessantly for 4 seconds, pointing to a severe communication issue within the elevator's network.
Common Causes
- Electrical interference affecting the CANBUS communication lines.
- Missing or incorrectly connected resistor jumper on CANBUS terminals.
- Physical break or damage in the CANBUS communication wiring.
- Failure of the car control PCB SM-02 to communicate over the CANBUS.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Inspect the entire CANBUS wiring for physical damage, loose connections, or breaks along the network segments.
- 2
Verify that the required resistor jumper is correctly installed on the CANBUS terminals as specified in the installation guidelines.
- 3
Check for sources of electrical interference near the CANBUS cables and implement appropriate shielding if necessary.
- 4
Monitor the communication status with the car control PCB SM-02 to confirm continuous signal loss for the specified 4 seconds.
