26051

Ballast circuit overload, KPP/KSP (axis)

Kuka · KR C4 Operating Instructions

What does 26051 mean?

The braking energy in the ballast circuit is permanently too high. This often results from frequent or heavy braking operations that exceed the continuous power rating or capacity of the brake resistor, leading to potential overheating.

Repair Steps

  1. 1

Review and reduce heavy loads that are braked too frequently within the application program.

  2. 2

Check the ballast resistor for physical damage or an incorrect resistance value using a multimeter.

  3. 3

Check the cabling between the KPP and the ballast resistor for continuity, short circuits, and proper connections.

  4. 4

Reinitialize the drive bus by performing a Power Off / Power On cycle of the entire system.

  5. 5

Check the KPP module itself for internal faults if the ballast circuit components are verified correct.
