The drive has detected a motor phase failure and issued a Warning, indicated via the fieldbus interface. Common Causes

  • Intermittent or partial open circuit in one motor phase connection, leading to current imbalance without complete loss.
  • Degradation of motor winding insulation causing leakage current, which can be interpreted as reduced phase current by the drive.
  • Slight imbalance in the power grid feeding the motor, leading to slightly differing phase currents.
  • Drive's current sensing parameter (e.g., P3-10 'Phase Imbalance Warning Threshold') is set too sensitively for the application.
  • Loose connection at the drive's output terminal (U, V, or W) or motor terminal, causing increased resistance in one phase.
