Internal Fault
Lenze · 8200 Series
What does H05 mean?
An internal hardware or software fault has been detected within the controller, indicating a critical system malfunction. This issue cannot be resolved through standard troubleshooting and requires specialized attention to prevent potential damage or system instability.
Common Causes
- Internal hardware component failure (e.g., DSP, microcontroller, memory module).
- Corruption of the drive's internal firmware due to power disturbance or failed update.
- Critical internal software exception or unhandled error within the operating system.
- Damage to internal communication buses or logic circuits.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
1. Record the exact fault code and any associated diagnostic messages displayed on the drive HMI.
- 2
2. Perform a power cycle by disconnecting all mains power to the drive for at least 60 seconds before reapplying.
- 3
3. Attempt to reset the fault from the HMI or via a digital input if a reset function is available (e.g., Parameter C0010 set to reset).
- 4
4. If available, connect to the drive via diagnostic software and download the event log for detailed analysis.
