Defective All Parameter Sets
Lenze · 8200 Series
What does Pr mean?
All parameter sets within the controller have become defective, often due to an interrupted or faulty parameter transfer from the keypad. This critical issue prevents the drive from operating correctly as its configuration is lost or corrupted. Operating with corrupted parameters can lead to unpredictable behavior and potential damage.
Common Causes
- Interrupted power supply to the drive during a parameter write or save operation.
- Faulty communication (e.g., loose keypad connection) during parameter transfer, leading to data corruption.
- Internal memory corruption (e.g., EEPROM, Flash) within the drive controller.
- Severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) disrupting internal data processing during parameter storage.
- Attempting to load an incompatible parameter file or firmware version.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Perform a factory reset of the drive (e.g., P0-10 = 0) to clear all parameter sets and restore default values.
- 2
Re-enter all necessary parameters manually via the keypad, paying close attention to power stability during the process.
- 3
If parameters were loaded from a PC, verify the communication cable integrity and re-attempt the parameter transfer.
- 4
Check the drive's internal error logs for any diagnostic messages related to memory or hardware faults.
- 5
Load a known-good parameter set from a backup source (e.g., PC, SD card) after performing a factory reset.
