Defective Parameter Set 1
Lenze · 8200 Series
What does Pr1 mean?
Parameter set 1 within the controller has become defective, likely due to an interrupted or faulty transfer from the keypad. This indicates a corruption in a specific configuration set, which can prevent proper drive operation when that set is active. Operating with corrupted parameters can lead to unpredictable behavior.
Common Causes
- Power interruption to the drive specifically during the saving or writing of Parameter Set 1.
- Intermittent connection or data transmission error during transfer of Parameter Set 1 from a keypad or remote interface.
- Corruption of the dedicated memory region for Parameter Set 1 within the drive's non-volatile memory.
- Attempting to load an invalid or incomplete parameter set file into Parameter Set 1.
- Electrical noise or transient voltage spikes impacting the drive's internal data storage during a write operation to Parameter Set 1.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Perform a factory reset (e.g., P0-10 = 0) to clear all parameter sets, then reconfigure Parameter Set 1 from scratch.
- 2
If using a keypad or communication module, ensure stable power supply to the drive and a secure connection during parameter transfer for Parameter Set 1.
- 3
Attempt to load a known-good backup of Parameter Set 1 (if available) into the drive.
- 4
Select an alternate parameter set (e.g., Parameter Set 2 via P0-02) and configure it, then try operating the drive to isolate the issue to Parameter Set 1.
- 5
If using a PC tool, re-export the parameter set from a working drive or create a new one, then re-download it to Parameter Set 1.
