What does 107 mean?
An internal fault related to the power stage has occurred. During the initialisation of the controller, an incorrect power stage was detected, indicating a serious internal hardware issue.
Common Causes
- Internal power stage component failure (e.g., IGBT module, gate driver circuit) due to overstress or manufacturing defect.
- Internal communication bus error between the control board and power board during the drive's boot-up sequence.
- Faulty or corrupted power stage identification hardware (e.g., EEPROM, configuration resistors) preventing correct recognition.
- Transient voltage event or brownout during controller initialization causing an incorrect detection of the installed power stage.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
1. Power cycle the drive and observe if the internal fault clears upon re-initialization.
- 2
2. Measure incoming AC line voltage (L1, L2, L3 or L, N) at the drive's input terminals and confirm it is within specified tolerance (e.g., 380-480VAC +/-10%).
- 3
3. Disconnect the motor and any external braking resistor from the drive. Power cycle the drive and check if the fault persists (to isolate external loads).
- 4
4. If the drive is modular, ensure all internal power and control module connections are securely seated.
- 5
5. Contact the drive manufacturer's technical support, providing the exact fault code and drive serial number for internal component diagnosis.
