CE0 Communication error on the automation interface (AIF)
Lenze · 9300 Series
What does x061 mean?
A communication error has occurred on the automation interface (AIF). This indicates a problem with the physical communication link, its configuration, or the communication master. This error is managed by parameter C0126.
Common Causes
- Loose or damaged communication cable (e.g., Ethernet, RS-485) between the drive's AIF port and the communication master.
- Incorrect baud rate (P5-01), parity (P5-03), stop bits, or network address (P5-02) configured in the drive or the communication master.
- Electrical noise or interference on the communication bus due to unshielded cables or improper grounding practices.
- Faulty AIF communication module on the drive or the communication master device itself.
- Communication master device is offline, rebooting, or not sending data telegrams within the configured timeout period.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
1. Visually inspect the communication cable connected to the drive's AIF port (e.g., X10) for damage; replace if frayed or broken.
- 2
2. Verify communication parameters (e.g., baud rate P5-01, address P5-02, parity P5-03) in the drive and compare with the master's settings.
- 3
3. Check for proper shielding continuity of the communication cable by measuring resistance between the shield and ground at both ends.
- 4
4. Temporarily disconnect other devices from the communication bus and test communication with only the drive and master to isolate interference.
- 5
5. Monitor the communication status indicator LEDs on the AIF module for activity and error signals.
