Mode Designation Error
Mitsubishi Electric · FR-D700 Basic Inverter
What does Mode designation error mean?
Parameter setting was attempted in External or NET operation mode when Pr. 77 (Parameter write selection) was not '2', or parameter writing was attempted when the command source was not the operation panel. This prevents modification of parameters under specific operating conditions to maintain system integrity and prevent unintended changes.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Set the operation mode to 'PU operation mode' before attempting to set parameters via the unit.
- 2
Set Pr. 77 (Parameter write selection) to '2' to enable parameter writing in other operation modes.
- 3
If the parameter unit (FR-PU04/FR-PU07) is disconnected, set Pr. 551 (PU mode operation command source selection) to '9999' (initial setting).
- 4
Alternatively, set Pr. 551 (PU mode operation command source selection) to '4' if using the PU as the command source.
