E59
Compressor Start-up Error
Mitsubishi Electric · FR-D700 Inverter
What does E59 mean?
The compressor has failed to start properly, which can be due to electrical issues, mechanical binding, or control problems. This prevents the system from generating cooling or heating capacity.
Common Causes
- Compressor unable to start within the specified time or torque.
- Low voltage supply to the compressor motor.
- Mechanical binding within the compressor.
- Incorrect starting capacitor or relay operation.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the power supply voltage to the compressor terminals, checking for correct phase voltages and balance.
- 2
Check the compressor windings for proper resistance across U-V, V-W, U-W phases to detect open or short circuits.
- 3
Inspect the compressor contactor and associated control wiring for proper operation and secure connections.
- 4
Listen for any unusual noises from the compressor during a start attempt, such as humming or grinding, indicative of mechanical issues.
