Mitsubishi Electric · MELSEC System Q/L Series

What does 4185H mean?

The connection to the target device was disconnected prematurely, either before sending a response using the MC protocol or during ongoing communication. This error can sometimes be a symptom of other underlying communication issues, such as a buffer overflow (4184H).

Common Causes

  • Connection to the target device disconnected before sending a response using the MC protocol.
  • Connection to the target device disconnected during communication.
  • Other errors, such as 4184H, may be contributing to the disconnection.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

For MC protocol, ensure the connection is maintained until a response to the request has been successfully sent.

  2. 2

Maintain the connection until a complete sequence of communication transactions is finished.

  3. 3

If any other error has occurred, take corrective action for that error first.
