IP address fault
Mitsubishi Electric · Mitsubishi FR-E800 Variable Frequency Drive
What does IP mean?
This warning appears when the configured IP address or subnet mask for the inverter falls outside the specified valid range. This indicates an invalid network configuration that will prevent the inverter from communicating correctly on the network.
Common Causes
- IP address (Pr.1409) entered manually is outside the valid IPv4 range (e.g., 0.0.0.0 or 255.255.255.255, or not matching the network segment).
- Subnet mask (Pr.1410) is incorrectly configured, leading to an invalid network address or broadcast address.
- Gateway address (Pr.1411) is invalid or not on the same subnet as the inverter's IP address.
- DNS server addresses (Pr.1412, Pr.1413) are not correctly configured or are unnecessary for the application.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Review the network's IP addressing plan and ensure Pr.1409 (IP address) is within the designated range for the subnet.
- 2
Correct Pr.1410 (Subnet mask) to match the network's subnet mask (e.g., 255.255.255.0 for a /24 network).
- 3
Verify Pr.1411 (Default gateway address) matches the network's router or gateway IP address.
- 4
Power cycle the inverter after making any changes to network parameters to ensure settings are applied.
- 5
Consult network administrator to confirm valid IP address, subnet mask, and gateway details for the inverter's designated network segment.
