E.SAF

Safety circuit fault

Mitsubishi Electric · FR E700

What does E.SAF mean?

This safety circuit fault appears when the internal safety circuit malfunctions, or when protective lines (S1-PC, S2-PC) are open. It can also be triggered by a prolonged 24V external power supply start-up time. This is a critical safety integrity issue, preventing normal operation.

Repair Steps

  1. 1

If the safety stop function is not utilized, ensure that shorting wires are correctly installed between terminals S1 and PC, and S2 and PC.

  2. 2

If the safety stop function is active, verify the wiring of terminals S1, S2, and PC, and confirm proper operation of the safety relay module or other safety input signal sources.

  3. 3

For 24V external power supply operation, ensure its start-up time is configured to be within 500ms.
