E.RET

Retry count excess

Mitsubishi · D700 Inverter

What does E.RET mean?

This fault signifies that the inverter has attempted to automatically resume operation a specified number of times (configured in Pr. 67) after a previous fault, but has failed to clear the underlying problem. The inverter will now trip to prevent further damage. This code indicates a persistent issue that needs direct investigation and manual intervention.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Immediately investigate the previous fault code that led to the retries; this fault (E.RET) is a consequence, not the root cause.

  2. 2

Address and eliminate the root cause of the preceding error (e.g., overcurrent, overvoltage, motor overload, etc.).

  3. 3

Ensure Pr. 67 (Number of retries at fault occurrence) is set appropriately for the application, or '0' if automatic retries are not desired.

  4. 4

Once the underlying issue is resolved, manually reset the inverter.
