E.ECT
Wire break detection
Mitsubishi Electric · A500 Inverter
What does E.ECT mean?
The inverter output is stopped if the encoder signal is lost or turned off. This typically occurs during orientation, PLG feedback, or vector control when executed with the FR-A5AP, indicating a break or interruption in the encoder signal wire.
Repair Steps
- 1
Check the encoder signal wires for continuity from the encoder to the FR-A5AP unit.
- 2
Inspect the encoder cable and connectors for any signs of damage, loose connections, or improper seating.
- 3
Verify the encoder is receiving proper power and generating signals, using an oscilloscope if available.
