SA

Safety Stop Mode (S1/S2 Open)

Mitsubishi · FR-D700 Inverter (Basic)

What does SA mean?

This alarm indicates that both safety input signals (S1 and S2) are in an open state, which triggers the safety stop function and causes the inverter output to shut off. This typically occurs as an intended safety action or due to a wiring issue, not an internal safety circuit fault.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Confirm that the safety stop function is not intentionally activated by an external safety device or switch.

  2. 2

Inspect the wiring connections between terminals S1 and SC, and S2 and SC for any open circuits, disconnections, or loose terminals.

  3. 3

Ensure that S1 and S2 are properly shorted to SC when the safety stop mode is not required, usually through a connected safety relay module.

  4. 4

Verify the operational status and proper functioning of any external safety relay module connected to S1, S2, and SC.
