SA

Safety stop

Mitsubishi · FR-E800 Variable Frequency Drive

What does SA mean?

This alarm appears when the safety stop function is activated, resulting in the shutoff of the inverter's output. It signifies a protective measure triggered by an emergency stop device or a disconnection within the safety circuit.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

If using the safety stop function, identify the cause of the emergency stop, ensure the safety of personnel and equipment, and then restart the system.

  2. 2

If the safety stop function is not being used, ensure that terminals S1 and PC, and S2 and PC, are shorted with appropriate wiring to allow the inverter to run.

  3. 3

If 'SA' is indicated while S1/PC and S2/PC are both conducted and the safety function is in use, check the wiring of terminals S1, S2, and SIC; if no wiring fault is found, contact your sales representative as it may indicate an internal failure.
