E03
Over-current during Acceleration
Omron · MX2 Inverter
What does E03 mean?
This fault signifies an excessive current draw by the motor during its acceleration phase. Common causes include a short circuit in the motor wiring, the motor being mechanically locked, an overly aggressive acceleration time setting for the load, or insufficient motor parameters in the drive.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Verify that the motor is not mechanically locked or excessively loaded during startup.
- 4
Review and auto-tune motor parameters (H001, H002, H003) if using sensorless vector control, or adjust torque boost settings (A041) to ensure proper motor control.
- 5
If the inverter consistently trips, consider if the inverter capacity matches the motor load; a higher power inverter might be required.
