E14

Ground Fault

Omron · MX2 Inverter

What does E14 mean?

This fault indicates a ground fault detection between the inverter's output terminals and earth ground, typically during power-up tests. The inverter's protection system detects current leakage paths, tripping to prevent electric shock and damage to the motor or inverter.

Additional Steps

Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

  1. 3

Perform an insulation resistance test on the output cables from the inverter to the motor for damage.

  2. 4

Inspect the inverter's output terminals and internal wiring for any signs of direct contact with the chassis or ground.

  3. 5

If the motor and cables are clear, the fault may lie within the inverter's output stage; contact Omron technical support.
