What does 401 mean?

The measured motor field current exceeded 125% of the rated current, as defined by parameter #50. This can indicate issues with the motor field, current regulation, or power circuit.

Common Causes

  • Partially shorted motor field coil.
  • Wrong data entry causing unstable motor field current regulator.
  • Mis-wiring of module A3 (incorrect phasing).
  • Wrong current tap at A3, TB4, or A3 SW1 setting.
  • Malfunction of the motor field power circuit (module A3).
