EXCESSIVE FIELD CURRENT
Otis · DSD 412 DC Elevator Drive
What does 401 mean?
The measured motor field current exceeded 125% of the rated current, as defined by parameter #50. This can indicate issues with the motor field, current regulation, or power circuit.
Common Causes
- Partially shorted motor field coil.
- Wrong data entry causing unstable motor field current regulator.
- Mis-wiring of module A3 (incorrect phasing).
- Wrong current tap at A3, TB4, or A3 SW1 setting.
- Malfunction of the motor field power circuit (module A3).
