AUTO TUNING FAULT
Schindler · Altivar 312 Drive
What does tnF mean?
This fault indicates that the auto-tuning procedure, which measures motor parameters, was unsuccessful. This can happen if motor parameters are incorrectly configured prior to auto-tuning, or if the procedure is interrupted.
Common Causes
- Incorrect configuration of motor parameters ([Rated motor volt.] (UnS), [Rated motor freq.] (FrS), [Rated mot. current] (nCr), [Rated motor speed] (nSP), [Motor 1 Cosinus Phi.] (COS)) before performing auto-tuning.
- Auto-tuning procedure was interrupted or did not complete successfully.
- The [Auto-tuning state] (tUS) parameter on page 43 or 103 reports [Failed] (FAIL).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify that parameters [Rated motor volt.] (UnS), [Rated motor freq.] (FrS), [Rated mot. current] (nCr), [Rated motor speed] (nSP), and [Motor 1 Cosinus Phi.] (COS) are correctly configured (page 43).
- 2
Repeat the [Auto tuning] (tUn) operation (page 43).
- 3
Ensure no command has been activated and no "freewheel stop" or "fast stop" function is assigned to a logic input during auto-tuning.
