Underload fault
Schindler · Easy Altivar ATV310 Drive
What does F029 mean?
This fault is detected when the motor current drops below the Application Underload threshold (211) for a duration longer than the Application underload time delay (210). This condition indicates that the motor is running with insufficient load, and detection is active only during steady-state operation.
Common Causes
- Motor current undershoots the Application Underload threshold (211).
- The application underload condition persists longer than the Application underload time delay (210).
- Loss of mechanical load on the motor (e.g., broken belt, dry pump, material shortage in a conveyor).
- Application Underload threshold (211) is set too high, or Application underload time delay (210) is set too short for the application.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the actual motor current during operation and compare it to the Application Underload threshold (211).
- 2
Inspect the mechanical system for any issues causing a loss of load, such as broken couplings, empty feeders, or fluid loss in pumping applications.
- 3
Adjust the Application Underload threshold (211) (20% to 100% of 305 parameter) and Application underload time delay (210) (0 to 100s) to suit the application's normal operating conditions, if current settings are too sensitive.
- 4
Ensure that underload detection is configured correctly, noting that a value of 0 for parameter 210 disables this feature.
