OHF

Overheat / Low Temperature Detected Fault

Schneider Electric · Altistart 22 Soft Starter

What does OHF mean?

The soft starter has detected an internal temperature that is outside its safe operating range (either too high or too low). Overheating can damage the soft starter components, while extremely low temperatures might affect performance.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Verify the soft starter's sizing is appropriate for the motor and its mechanical load requirements.

  2. 2

Inspect the soft starter's cooling fan (if equipped) for proper operation, ensuring no obstructions to airflow and that the heatsink is clean.

  3. 3

Ensure all mounting recommendations from the manual are observed to guarantee adequate ventilation and cooling.

  4. 4

If overheated, wait for the Altistart 22 to cool down naturally before restarting, ideally keeping the starter powered on to allow the fan (if present) to assist cooling.
