What does SCF mean?

A short circuit has been detected on the soft starter's output, typically between motor phases or from a phase to ground. This is a severe fault that can cause immediate and significant damage to the soft starter and motor.

   Switch off the soft starter and disconnect power immediately to prevent further damage.

   Thoroughly check all motor connections for any short circuits, loose wiring, or damage.

   Perform an insulation resistance test on the motor windings and cables to ground and between phases.

   If connections and insulation are confirmed to be satisfactory, contact Schneider Electric services as the fault may be internal to the soft starter.
