OHF
Drive Controller Overheat
Schneider Electric · ALTIVAR 28 Variable Speed Drive
What does OHF mean?
This fault indicates that the drive controller's internal temperature or its I²t thermal model has exceeded safe operating limits, leading to an overheat condition. Continuous operation in this state will cause irreversible damage to the drive's sensitive electronic components.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Check the motor load to ensure it is within the drive's rated capacity and not causing excessive current draw.
- 2
Inspect the drive controller's ventilation system (fans, heatsinks) for obstructions, dust accumulation, or fan failure, and ensure the ambient temperature is within specifications.
- 3
Allow the drive controller to cool down completely before attempting to reset and restart operation.
