OHF
Drive Overheating
Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive
What does OHF mean?
The drive has detected an internal overheating condition. This occurs when the drive's internal temperature exceeds safe operating limits, often due to high ambient temperatures, blocked cooling fins, or failed cooling fans. Continued operation can lead to permanent damage to the drive's power components.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Check ambient temperature around the drive and ensure it's within specifications for the unit.
- 2
Verify all cooling fans on the drive are operational and free of obstructions.
- 3
Clean drive heatsinks and ventilation openings to ensure proper airflow.
- 4
Ensure sufficient clearance around the drive for cooling and avoid mounting in direct sunlight or confined spaces.
