OPF2

3 Output Phases Loss

Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive

What does OPF2 mean?

Detection of a complete loss of all three output phases to the motor. This means the drive is unable to supply power to the motor, resulting in no motor rotation. This could be due to a tripped motor contactor, severe wiring issue, or internal drive power stage fault.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Verify all three motor output phase connections from the drive to the motor are secure and intact.

  2. 2

Check for tripped motor protection devices (e.g., motor contactor, circuit breaker) in the motor circuit.

  3. 3

Inspect the motor contactor for proper operation (coil, contacts) if present.

  4. 4

Perform a continuity check on motor phases and output wiring from the drive.
