Ex-e protection operating mode
SEW Eurodrive · MCBSM
What does F-35 mean?
An incorrect operating mode or parameter set has been selected for an Ex-e motor application, or the frequency points or current limits are improperly configured. This fault is crucial for maintaining safety with explosion-protected motors, preventing operation under non-compliant or potentially hazardous conditions.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Ensure only permitted operating modes (V/f, VFC, VFC hoist) are selected for Ex-e motors, avoiding non-permitted functions like flying start or DC braking.
- 2
Verify that only parameter set 1 is used for Ex-e protection, and that an Ex-e motor is correctly configured and in operation.
- 3
Correct the parameterized frequency points (Frequency A < B, Frequency B < C) and current limits (Current limit A < B, Current limit B < C) according to the Ex-e motor specifications.
