DC link overvoltage

SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE compact System

What does 07 mean?

The DC link voltage has exceeded its permissible maximum limit, often caused by excessive regenerative power generated during braking, or potentially a ground fault. This triggers an immediate switch-off to protect the inverter's sensitive electronic components from damage.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Extend deceleration ramps to allow for a more gradual energy dissipation during braking.

  2. 2

Check the supply cable connection to the braking resistor to ensure it is secure and functional.

  3. 3

Verify the technical data and functionality of the braking resistor to ensure it can absorb regenerative energy.

  4. 4

Thoroughly check for any ground faults within the system that could contribute to overvoltage conditions.
