Motor TF sensor trip

SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE compact System

What does 31 mean?

The motor's thermal sensor (TF sensor) has tripped, indicating the motor has become too hot, or the sensor itself is not connected, connected incorrectly, or its connection to the MOVIDRIVE® is interrupted. This fault typically triggers a 'No Response' action, which can be configured as a warning or a soft stop.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Allow the motor to cool down to its safe operating temperature, then reset the error.

  2. 2

Check all connections and the link between the MOVIDRIVE® and the motor's TF sensor for integrity.

  3. 3

If thermal monitoring via TF sensor is not desired for the application, set parameter P835 to 'No response'.
