88
Flying start Immediate disconnection
SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE compact System
What does 88 mean?
Observed exclusively in VFC n-CTRL operating mode. This fault indicates that the inverter was enabled while the actual motor speed exceeded 5000 1/min. The inverter's flying start function has a speed limit for engagement, and exceeding this limit prevents proper control. The inverter immediately disconnects to prevent unstable operation.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Ensure the inverter is not enabled until the actual motor speed is at or below 5000 1/min.
- 2
Adjust the system's control logic to verify the motor speed before sending an enable command to the inverter.
- 3
Check for any external factors or residual kinetic energy that might keep the motor speed above the limit when an enable signal is issued.
