Startup Error / Phase Sequence
SEW Eurodrive · MOVIFIT SC
What does 9 mean?
This fault encompasses two distinct startup issues. In 'dual-motor operation', it signifies an incorrect line phase sequence, preventing motors from running in the intended clockwise direction. In 'single-motor operation', it means an unexpected current (over 10% IN,unit) is detected on drive 2, usually due to incorrect wiring, such as a drive connected to X9 or two drives being present when only one is allowed. Both scenarios prevent proper unit startup and operation, risking mechanical stress to connected equipment or uncontrolled motor movement.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
For dual-motor operation: Check and correct the L1, L2, L3 phase sequence at the unit's main power input terminals to ensure a clockwise rotating field; swap any two phases if the rotation is incorrect.
- 2
For single-motor operation: Verify that only one drive is connected to the designated terminals for drive 1, and ensure no drives are connected to the X9 terminal or other outputs intended for drive 2.
- 3
Confirm that the operating mode selected in the MOVIFIT unit's configuration (single-motor vs. dual-motor) accurately matches the physical wiring and application.
