A07015

Drive: Motor temperature sensor alarm

Siemens · DCM

What does A07015 mean?

This alarm indicates an issue with the motor temperature sensor signal, such as a wire break (high resistance) or a short circuit (low resistance), preventing accurate temperature monitoring. If unresolved within the timer p0607, it will escalate to fault F07016. The drive cannot reliably monitor motor temperature, risking overheating if other protective measures are not in place.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Verify the physical connection of the motor temperature sensor wiring at both the motor and the drive terminal.

  2. 2

Measure the resistance of the temperature sensor circuit to check for wire breakage (high resistance) or short circuit (low resistance) based on the sensor type.

  3. 3

Confirm that parameter p0601 (Motor temperature sensor type) is accurately configured for the specific sensor installed.
