Drive: No motor detected
Siemens · DCM
What does A07929 mean?
After the inverter pulses are enabled, the absolute current value remains critically small, indicating that no motor is connected or properly detected by the drive. For vector control with an induction motor, this alarm is typically followed by fault F07902. This issue prevents motor operation and can be due to wiring problems or incorrect low-current settings.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Thoroughly check all motor feeder cables for proper connection, continuity, and absence of open circuits or loose terminals.
- 2
Reduce the output load identification current limit (p2179) if the motor is a synchronous motor or operates at very low current levels.
- 3
For U/f control, verify and adjust the voltage boost parameter (p1310) to ensure the motor receives sufficient voltage at startup.
- 4
Carry out a standstill measurement to accurately set the stator resistance (p0350), which helps the drive properly identify the motor.
