PIFB-FL

PI Feedback Loss Fault

Yaskawa · E7 Drive

What does PIFB-FL mean?

This fault occurs when the PI function's feedback signal is determined to be lost, as configured by parameter b5-12 set to '2: Fault'. Upon detection, the drive will coast to a stop and energize the fault output (MA-MB), indicating a critical loss of process control feedback that requires immediate attention.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Check the wiring and connections of the PI feedback sensor to the drive's analog input terminals for integrity.

  2. 2

Verify the feedback sensor is powered and functioning correctly, providing a valid signal within its specified range.

  3. 3

Review parameter b5-13 (PI Feedback Loss Detection Level) to ensure it's set appropriately for the expected feedback signal range and potential fluctuations.

  4. 4

Inspect the process being controlled to ensure the physical feedback variable (e.g., pressure, flow) is present and within normal operating limits.

  5. 5

Confirm the fault output relay (MA-MB) is wired and functioning correctly to signal external systems or safety circuits.
