Er - 08

Rated Slip Fault

Yaskawa · F7 Drive

What does Er - 08 mean?

This Auto-Tuning fault means the process did not complete within the specified time, or the calculated rated slip value was outside the parameter setting range. It can also occur if the motor rated voltage setting (T1-03) is higher than the Drive's actual input voltage. Incorrect slip data will negatively impact motor speed regulation and torque control.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Re-verify all Auto-Tuning input data parameters (T1 group) for accuracy, especially motor nameplate data such as rated voltage and frequency.

  2. 2

Inspect the motor wiring for proper connection, continuity, and absence of shorts or open circuits that could affect motor characteristics.

  3. 3

If parameter T1-03 (Motor Rated Voltage) is set higher than the Drive's actual input voltage, correct the T1-03 setting to match the supply.

  4. 4

If possible, disconnect the motor from the mechanical load and re-attempt Auto-Tuning to ensure accurate slip calculation.
